The positive buzz about Russian bees at Monticello

WASHINGTON — While Virginia beekeepers lost almost 60 percent of their colonies this past winter, the bees kept thriving at Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello.

The 25 bee hives at the historic site in Charlottesville, Virginia, got through the harsh winter without any losses.
